Cheeseburger with Fiore Sardo PDO and caramelized onions
 
INGREDIENTS (servings 4)

4 beef burgers

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

40 gr grated Fiore Sardo PDO

pepper, salt

in addition:

8 thin slices of Fiore Sardo PDO

4 semi-sweet burger buns

lettuce to taste

caramelized onions:

600 gr yellow onions

100 gr sugar

1/2 cup of wine vinegar

extra virgin olive oil

 
DIRECTIONS

Preparation time 30-35 minutes

Cooking time as desired

Onions: slice onions and place in pan with sugar, salt and vinegar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 60 minutes.

Burger: mix meat with parsley and grated Fiore Sardo, salt and pepper. Form 4 burgers and cook in a pan with a little olive oil. Warm sliced buns.

Place a slice of Fiore Sardo on a warm bun, then add some lettuce leaves, a little caramelized onion, the burger, more cheese and onions. Top with remaining half of bun and serve immediately.
